Walk On The Wild Side 2008
Sunday 24th September saw the Lopes Arms welcome almost 100 walkers to take on the challenge of 13 miles across the moors, incorporating five pubs. Namely The Devon Tors, Walkhampton Inn, Burrator Inn, Royal Oak & The Skylark, ending back at the Lopes to enjoy live music courtesy of 2 Unique, a BBQ & Raffle. Despite just 8 hours previously suffering a devastating fire within the Kitchen. The whole team at the pub pulled out all the stops to ensure the walk went ahead regardless. Clare was determined to not let St Lukes miss the opportunity of raising the much needed sponsorship that people had worked hard to obtain.
We would like to thank everyone that made the walk a success. Lets remember how much fun it was and look forward to 2009 being bigger and better !
